We always made these for Halloween. One year we handed out the cookies with the recipe (with our name and address on the back). We lived in a small town where we all knew each other – obviously you can’t do this in a big city!!
Tips:
1. it really DOES make 25 to 30 dozen cookies – so you will be baking for a LONG time.
2. take turns mixing
3. I now have a large stainless steel bowl – but we used to mix in the big turkey roaster
4. mini M&Ms work well in place of the smarties – much smaller and don’t fall out of the cookies!!
